Today we walked over to the Museo Pepoli which is in an old convent. It has a number of collections from Agostino Pepoli and other noted Trapanians.
The most notable thing about this museum was all the staff walking around! I think we were out numbered 20 to 1! The other notable thing was all the bust statues of famous men had their noses chipped off .. some disgruntled citizen with a hammer?
Trapani had alot of churches and we checked out 3 of them. The cathedral was the most impressive and the Church of Purgatory was completely lost on me.
The best part of the day was sitting down for a beer at 4pm and watching the people watching the tourists!
There are lots of interesting buildings here but they are hard to appreciated at such sharp angles. Streets are narrow and not too many big Piazzas.
Tomorrow might be a bike ride .. or Modern Art Gallery and a visit to Erice.
Cheers
