This is the ride we really wanted to do .. a loop around Pachino on the southeast tip of Sicily where the Canadians landed 75 years ago.

We had great weather .. so glad we waited for yesterday's storm to move off!

Lots of agricultural lands today with green houses everywhere growing I don't know what! ..saw some tomato vines in one!

The coastal towns are great and I got my feet wet today in the sea. Heavy sea left over from storm so no swimming!

As we came around the southwestern tip, we were very surprised to find a memorial for the Canadians and French with crisp flags blowing strongly in the wind. Very moving. We had lunch and took photos.

Tomorrow we are off to Scicli which I will learn to pronounce someday! This town is a UNESCO site and we can do some day rides from here.
