Yesterday we visited the Museum and Theatre (Roman). The audio guide and film were very good. We especially enjoyed the exhibits of 2 artists : Frank Brangwyn and Albert de Belleroche. The Arch de Triumph was pretty impressive too .. this is where the Roman warriors would triumphantly enter the city to celebrate their victories.
Today we did a ride into the country side to the east visiting a number of small villages famous for their wines: Gigondas, Seguret, Rasteau and Cairanne. We saw lots of people picking and processing grapes and our route took us on small country roads used by the vineyards. It was a lot of fun but sometimes the slopes were 12% and 15%!
63km 620m ascent.
Tomorrow morning we say good bye to our friends as they head east to conquer Mont Ventoux and we head west!
