Yesterday's transfer from Landry to StM was pretty easy .. All 'roll-on' trains .. Just some stairs in Valence transfer .. then a bit of a wait for a taxi for Carman while we figured out that the hotel was the best facilitator to get a taxi!
.. and did we tell you that it's warmer down here? After a quick 20km ride from the train station, we found ourselves sitting outside enjoying the river view with a beer!
Today we woke up to sunny skies and decided to delay going up the gorge (too busy on a Sunday) and instead selected a southerly loop on a number of green quiet roads. It was a great ride and we road in to some Plus Beaux Villages .. hilltops .. as well as enjoyed some wonderful long downs through interesting scenery and gorges. Cornillon, Lussan, Aigueze were just a few of the towns.
Around 4pm we were back on the river front in St Martin d'Ardeche watching for Charles Pryce to ride across the bridge from Canada! .. and he did!
We are now back up to a compliment of 6 .. Kevin has returned to Canada to be replaced by another Charles!
Today's numbers; 89km 1200m of ascent
Notice Mont Ventoux in the background of the group shot .. about 80km away.
